August

We started August off in Gulf Shores, with Nana and Papa Joe!

We got the Child Training Bible kit in the mail, and Jaden helped me find and highlight some of the verses. He was so excited to find them! I can't wait to get started on this. Not just for the kids, but for me as well.

Friday, we went to Target to get some boxes so I could go through the kids clothes and clean out. So glad Thor and Spiderman were there to help me!

Cora started walking, with help, today!!

Saturday, we took a last minute trip to The McWane Center with the Guzewiczes!

And ended the day with a swim at Memaw and DDaddy's house, with Mimi and Pops.

On Sunday, after lunch at Nana's, we went to MeMaw's and swam with Mrs. Lauren, Weezie, Brayden, Noah and Ellie!

Then we went to the University Rec Pool with our church and had a great time!

Monday morning, we went to church to paint in the children's department. The boys lasted about 15 minutes, but I hope I was able to teach Jaden about serving, and what it means to be a part of our new outreach process.
(Underneath the green paint, there is a heart, with a C in the middle for Jaden's girlfriend, Cora Franklin. Also, that's Jesus on the cross.)

The kids ended up playing in Cora's Sunday school room, so I was able to get a lot of painting done!

Before and after!

Brad called on his way home, and asked if we wanted to take a walk when he got home...
He knows I love it outside!

Jaden and Spencer spent the night with Nana!

Jaden's last Tuesday, before school starts. He wanted to eat a corndog and watch 3 Ninjas, so that's what we did!

Before Open House, Tuesday night, Jaden wanted to make his teacher some white chocolate pretzel sticks. She loved them!

My goodness. Where have the past 6 years gone. My first baby is old enough to start real school. We are so proud of the boy he has become. We love you Jaderbug!

5 Generations in this picture!

Our final day of summer! We went swimming at Memaw and DDaddy's at 8:30!

Then we had lunch with Daddy. Sassy was worn out already.

Next, we went and visited with Charlie and Sam. We ate ice cream, got rocks to take home, and Cora took one step!
Look at the size and color of these rocks! He was SO excited!

After coming home to watch 3 Ninjas, (I didn't make Anders take a nap since it was Jaden's last day at home) we went to church for an ice cream party!

No words... Only tears...

Today starts the first day of Kindergarten. The first day of waking up at 6:30 . The first day of packed lunches, with Mickey Mouse turkey sandwiches. The first day of the next 12 years of school. The first day to leave my baby with (wonderful!) strangers. The first day of crying on my way home from school... We are so excited though. Jaden couldn't wait to get started this morning. I'm going to miss my big boy today!!

Jaden, with Mrs. McCullough.

Before Daddy and Mommy left him at school for the first time!

So big!

What else was there to do for the rest of us? City Cafe of course! :)
When it was time to get Jader from school, we walked to get him. Anders and Cora loved it! We had to wait until all of the car riders had gone, before we could Jaden though. That took forever!

But we finally got him, and everybody was home!!
They played so hard this afternoon! Jadenwas trying to show Anders how to draw an S. Anders was screaming because he didn't want to learn that. Cora was hitting Jaden with a Ninja Turtle sword because he was "hurting" Anders...
I wrote my name on the etchasketch!

First day to ride the bus!!

Taco Casa picnic in the carport!

Cora met Marshall, our robot vacuum!

We spent Saturday at Tannehill with Nana, Papa Joe, Scott, Tara, Spencer, Parker and Madalyn!
The boys had a great time on the Jumpy thing!

We found lots of treasures and had so much fun!

This girl has it rough!

Amy, Brayden, Tanner and Jace joined us for lunch. All of the boys loved it!

That night, we went bowling, out to eat at The Levee, and dessert at Krispy Kreme, with The Guzewiczes and Kitchens.

Anders, doing what he does...

Rainy day at the bus stop!

These two are really bonding now!
Anders made a transformer with playdoh!

We had to wait for Brother to get home, before we could go to Publix and get a cookie.

Anders is getting started on his schooling too!

My project this week! I LOVE it! I bought it a Tannehill. It's now my night stand!

They miss each other while Brother is at school. :)

Wednesday night was CHOAS night at Chapel Hill!

Jaden wanted to make his own breakfast today before school!

It was raining, so I left Anders in charge while I went to the bus stop to get Jaden.

They got new shorts!

Today was a Banana Split kinda day!

Going to get Brother from the bus stop! Jaden was so happy to see them!

Another project down!
Sunday morning :)

The look I get when Daddy takes puppy, so Cora will look at the camera!

There's some smiles!!

Her brothers love her so much!!

Cora was great at her 15 month check up!
32.2 inches tall
22.2 pounds

On Wednesday, we ate lunch with Jaden! They all loved it. We got to meet some of his best friends too!

The weather is getting cooler. That means more afternoons outside without totally melting!

Jaden will be Leader of the Week next week, so he had to make a poster of himself with things that he likes. I think he was only supposed to pick like 5 or so pictures, but he couldn't decide, so we just put them all!

This is how they end their days.

We're working on writing our name!!

Little snacking, while grocery shopping...

Sometimes they all play together nicely :)

We had our first Mission Friends class on Wednesday. Mrs. Kelli and I will have a great group of 3 year olds this year!

After church, we left for a long weekend at the beach!

Sunday, we came to sign up for Awana! Things are changing this year, and we're excited. Now we have TWO kids in the program! Jaden and Anders can't wait to get started!

Sassy took FOUR steps by herself today!! She was so proud proud of herself!

We ended August with another birthday party for Jaden! He's going to be disappointed on his actually birthday, because he won't get any presents!
But tomorrow, when he gets off the bus he'll be able to ride all afternoon!

We are so thankful for another happy, healthy month in the books. Now to get in a "regular" routine for school!
