For as long as I can remember, we've gone to Nana and PaDan's house for lunch on New Year's Day for hog jawl, black-eyed peas, cole slaw and cornbread. It's the best meal EVER! When Nana got sick, Momma started cooking the meal, and it's just as good! (I guess once you become a Nana, everything you make is DELISH! Although my momma has always been the best cook I've known!)
January 2nd, MiMi called to tell us what time the team was flying out, so we jumped in the car and headed to the airport. It was cold and the boys didn't really care for it, but Marsha and I enjoyed it! Like I always tell myself, one day Jaden and Anders will (maybe) look back and be thankful that I drug them places for them to "be in the excitement"!!
We even made it on 2 TV channels!
Jaden is loving having a permanent friend that he can dress up with now!

While Brad went with his parents to the game, my parents stayed with the boys and me!
We watched the game in 3D and had pizza and popcorn and got to sleep in our own beds!
Best of both worlds! Even though we did miss having Daddy around for 3 days.
We were at the airport when the National Champions flew home too!!
A few players we saw and some we were able to hi five!! Nick Saban, Carson Tinker, Kelly Johnson, ?, Nico Johnson, CJ Mosley, Kirby Smart, AJ McCarron and Jeremy Smelley. What a fun experience!
Jaden was a little more excited this time because it was sunny and he could run around!
On January 10th, Jaden wrote his name all by himself for the first time!
On the 14th, we ate with MeMaw, MiMi and Aunt Margaret at Another Broken Egg for MiMi's birthday lunch. It was REALLY good!
January 17th, it SNOWED!!!!!!!!!!!
It was Anders' first snow, and he was not excited about it. Jaden on the other hand, was SUPER excited!!
He loved eating it!
We made snowcones too! Brad got some Cilly Willy's strawberry syrup for his birthday, so we put that on top and it was such a treat!
This was the first snowman I built (on top of the grill) because I just knew that it was about to stop. Thankfully, it snowed for another 2 hours!!
My dad just happened to stop by when we were making blueberry pancakes, so he was able to take a picture of me with my boys!

That night, Jaden and I had a "Hot Date" planned! He picked the restaurant (Cypress Inn "the catfish place") and after dinner, we went to TCBY and got ice-cream!
He was a wonderful date! If only he would have paid... ;)
On the 18th, Brad told me about a couple of players signing autographs in the Mall. He didn't know if he'd get off work in time to meet me, so he didn't push me to go. But when I hear that I can meet someone "famous", I'm there! So the boys and I went to the Mall at 1:30 and waited in a line until 4:30!!!!! (Brad came about 3:00) It was worth it though. The players were very nice and personable and loved holding Anders. Jaden, as you can tell, was ready to get a cookie and go home!

That night, MeMaw and D-Daddy invited us to go to the gymnastic meet with them! The boys LOVED it!! It was a late night, but they were attentive the whole time!

Saturday, the 19th, was a BEAUTIFUL day outside! It was the day of the National Championship Celebration, but Brad had to be at the church for Upward, so we made it a stay-at-home baseball day!
The 21st was another nice day outside, so we went to Ish's house! Jaden and Teagan took turns swinging and riding the four wheeler, while Anders took Karragan for a spin in the Cozy Coupe!
It was so cold on the 22nd, so we went to Bama Bounders! All of the kids loved this!
We got our family church directory pictures in the mail today too!
It was our first professional "family of four" picture!

On the 24th, Brad and Jaden went to the Crow's farm to have some "guy time" and spend the night. Anders went to bed at 7:30, so I had plenty of time to start my chevron wall!!
When Jaden got home, he helped me finish.
Anders and I drove down to the farm on Saturday so that we could join in on the fun!
Pop's took all of the kids AND dogs with him for a ride around the farm!
Brayden, Ellie Joe and Noah are Weezie's nephews and niece. Such sweet kids. Jaden loves playing with them anytime they come to town.
On the 29th, Anders turned 11 months! He is such a great baby.
Later that morning, Teagan, Karragan, Bryson and Ava came to play!
We made 2 homemade pizzas for lunch, and the boys loved them!
We've had a GREAT first month of 2013!!
