The Masters

Oh my goodness. What an amazing place to visit. I'll be honest. I've never really watched golf. But I know some names and got to see some of these names today!
Everything was amazing. It was like Disney World in that EVERYBODY was happy. Everything was clean. The lines were 5 miles long, but you got through them faster than you would the self check out at Walmart.
There was not one weed. There was no trash on the ground. A sandwich was under $2.00. The customer service was excellent. The weather was perfect. The grass felt like a soft bed. (It was frowned upon to lay on the grass. I know because a friend told me...)
Opportunity of a lifetime for us.
You could not have your cellphone or electronics devices, so we had to take cameras. It was so nice actually to not have my cellphone with me. There were no distractions and I got to fully enjoy everything about this experience.

We were up before the sun!

The wives are ready!

Beautiful house right when you walk in.

First glimpse of Augusta National Golf Club.

The Leaderboard

Early morning and lots of people headed to hole 18.

The first golfer we encountered was Hideki Matsuyama.

We went straight to the Founders Circle to have our picture taken.
That's the Clubhouse in the back.
The flowers were in the shape of the Masters logo.

Since these guys were little, they've talked about going to The Masters together.

Magnolia Lane.
It was stunning. These trees have been here since the 1800s.
The only people allowed on this road are members.

We were walking back to get breakfast and Brad says "There's Tiger."
I thought Yeah, ok... BUT IT WAS!!
He was RIGHT there! No guards, no people crowding him.
Just Tiger Woods walking to his first tee.

  Behind him was Rafael Cabrera-Bello.

Next was Sergio Garcia, the defending Champion. (I didn't know who Sergio was, so I was taking a picture of someone else, thinking it was him. Then it was too late to get a picture of his face.) 🤦🏼‍♀️

Then Phil Mickelson came out!

Justin said “Good morning Phil.”
And Phil told him “Good morning.”
So cool!!

He wore a button up shirt which was supposedly kinda odd.
He said he wanted to try it out and see how it goes.
(There's a whole article about the shirt on an ESPN page.)

Joaquin Niemann, Jose Maria Olazábal, Sergio Garcia and Rafael Cabrera-Bello and their caddies.

Check out these prices!
We made money here! 😜

Everything had the Masters logo on it.

Look who we ran in to! We grew up with Dusty in church.
Now he lives in TX and somehow we ran in to him here!

Brian Harman hit this ball from the fairway - waaaaaaay back there in the background.

Mike Weir

Ted Potter, Jr.

Adam Hadwin

Got our Masters swag on.

The landscape was amazing.

The grass. It was incredible.

Azaleas at the 13th hole.

Bubba Watson

Wesley Bryan hit Bubba's ball out of the way.
They had a good time picking at each other.

Jordan Spieth

Wesley Bryan
(He had something in his shoe.
It's funny to think these are not ordinary people.
But they are.)

Wesley and Bubba

Since we didn't have our phones, we had to check in with our parents at these old timey phone booth things. We had a hard time remembering phone numbers.

 Beautiful azaleas

Jhonattan Vegas skipping his ball across the pond. THAT was impressive.
This is the 16th hole and once the golfers hit their ball to the green, everybody says "Skip! Skip! Skip!" They then proceed to skip the ball across the pond and onto the green.

Yusaku Miyazato and Hideki Matsuyama

Skipping across the pond.

You can see them right above the water if you zoom in.

Got me a Pimento Cheese Sandwich!
 It was delicious!

The Hogan Bridge at the 12th hole.
Breathtaking

Headed to Amen Corner. It's a doozie!

Vijay Singh

 Mark O'Meara

Beautiful scenery at the 12th green and 13th tee box

So beautiful

 Patrick Reed

Martin Kaymer

Bernhard Langer

Brad thought he'd try a Les Miles move and eat the grass. 🙄
He sneezed for the next 45 minutes. Coincidence?

Justin Thomas
Number 2 in the world and a graduate of The University of Alabama.
Roll Tide!

  Cameron Smith

   Loius Oosthuizen

 Larry Mize

Lots and lots of people at the 16th hole.

Justin Thomas, on the 17th hole.

Sees a friend.

And he stops right beside us!

So cool!

A news reporter heard them saying Roll Tide and started talking to them about JT.
Brad was on the Channel 3 News!

Sandy Lyle

Cameron Smith

Louis Oosthuizen

The 10th Hole
