June

Playing in the rain, on this sunny day!

The best chicken pot pie I've ever made!

Cookies at Edgar's Bakery before lunch with Daddy.

Sassy at my softball game. And then eating her first strawberry. She acted like it was a lemon!

We didn't have bread, and the boys wanted French toast. So we made homemade bread and had French toast!

I entered the cooking and sewing contest under the Young Farmers Division. This is the beginning of my table runner. (The boys wanted to play outside, but I had to get this done, so I moved my work outside.)

Oh the things you do for love! I sat through 4 hours of a Dave Matthews concert... Brad loved it, so it was worth it, but I don't know that I'll do it again. ;)

I had a great time playing softball with some ladies from our church. This is the third year NBC has won first place!

We spent the morning with Teagy, KK,  Breckam and Ish. First, we swam at the University pool, and went to Krispy Kreme after lunch, to get a free doughnut!

Brad and I spent Saturday at Ross Bridge, for our 8th anniversary. It was fabulous! We had a massage, spent time in the spa, laid by the pool, ate at The Fish Market, went to a movie, and had room service for breakfast. It was a great break from reality!

Scott took everybody out on their boat, while we were still gone. Hate we missed the fun time, but I know the kiddos loved it!

This is what happens when you don't check and recheck, before backing out of the carport... Momma caused a little fender bender. Thankfully, the worst part was my mirror coming off, and the last part was the little bit of paint that scraped off of the mail lady's car.

During VBS, we had to start the day at City Cafe with Nana and Papa Joe!

I'm so glad these cousins can grow up together!

Cora's most favorite thing to do, while I cook supper.

We love being in the water!

Friday was Water Day at VBS!

That night, we went to the best concert ever! Garth Brooks!!!

Cora, trying to cut her toenails. So neat, how quickly they learn.

Saturday was the Faucett family reunion. There were about 100 people there! (This is just Memaw and DDaddy's family.)

That afternoon, we celebrated Breckam's first birthday!

I had to try out this blow up slide!

Sunday night, the kids performed the VBS songs they learned. I was amazed at how much they learned in a week!

Two weeks of swimming lessons, with Mrs. Nancy started! They did so good with her, and learned SO much!

We had a great time at the University pool with Eric and his family, before they left to go to Minnesota for a couple of weeks.

Bath day!

After swimming lessons, we went to the Indian Hills pool with Mimi! It was a fun afternoon!

As if that wasn't enough for one day, we went to see Inside Out after supper! Cora was thrilled...

Mom, Linda and I helped with Kim's bridal shower. It was absolutely the most precious Tea ever! (There's another blog post about it)

We love Amazon boxes!!

Happy Father's Day!

After swimming today, we went bowling with Luke, Kate and one of their friends!

Those boys love eating lunch with Daddy. :)

Mrs. Beth made us some zucchini bread with the zucchini we gave her. She's the best!

I won first place with my table runner, peach fried pots and pork chops! Now I am going to the state competition in Montgomery!! I'm so excited! My momma use to win all of these contests when I was little.

Last day of swimming lessons. These kids have done a great job learning how to swim! Anders has gone from not wanting to get his face wet, to jumping off the diving board and swimming to the ladder, underwater, without floaties!

Cora is going to miss playing with DDaddy and Memaw every morning!

After lessons, we went to the beach for 4 days with some great friends! (There's another post about this trip)

June was jam packed, with something every day! So thankful that we made it out healthy! Now, on to July!

Kim's Bridal Tea

This was the sweetest Tea I think I've ever attended. It had the perfect Southern atmosphere -complete with NO air-conditioning :)
It rained, the sun came out, there were misquotes, kids, dogs, and wasps, but most importantly, there was friends and family.
Kim is blessed beyond measure with so many lovely ladies that care about her.
This Community House has been standing for over 100 years. (I don't know the exact year.) It's where Kim and her sisters grew up. -Mainly because it was in their front yard! I remember going to lunches here when I was little. The food and fellowship was wonderful. Such a happy place!

Christy and Kenny decorated it to the Nines!
There is so much character here anyway, but what they added, made it all the more beautiful!

I caught Aunt Linda sampling some of the delicious food!

Notice how the door frame isn't perfect. I love the charm here.

Apparently I'm dangerous with a camera! Caught Aunt Sheila getting some of the flowers for her outside toasting area!

My sweet Momma and me :)

The beautiful outside area was so elegant.

Christy made these wreaths. One for each window and door.

Love these girls! Can't believe Kim is getting married!

My sister cousin :)

She even made this cake!! Talented doesn't even begin to describe her!

All of the food was delicious! I think everybody brought something. It was a wonderful variety.

Sweet sisters

Kim, with Aunt Sheila and Chris's mom, Mrs. Liz.

It was raining in this picture, but it was still beautiful out here.

A few of the sweet gifts Chris and Kim were given. The wooden utensils were hand made by a neighbor. Ugh so sweet.

So glad to celebrate with these gals!
